ILLUSTRA is a small lamp design studio built on a simple belief: great lighting should be both beautiful and affordable. Every piece is crafted with care, blending quality materials with thoughtful design. I’ve always loved how a lamp can be more than just functional, it can be a conversation starter, a centerpiece, and a subtle way to set the tone of any space.
Each lamp design starts as just a vision. From there each design goes through countless versions each getting more and more refined than the last. Prototypes are 3D Printed and tested to ensure that the final design fits the vision and functionality standards for ILLUSTRA.
Each lamp is individually printed to your order. Once the recycled PLA printed parts are complete I start the post processing on each lamp. For our Tile Collection we must cut, measure, glue, grout, and polish all of the recycled glass tile for each lamp. Each lamp must then have the electronics installed.
Once your order is completed each lamp is given a unique serial number that is embossed onto the bottom of the lamp. This serial number is only given to lamps that have been individually tested. If a faulty product is ever to be found please contact us with your issue and the serial number of your lamp.
We use eco-conscious PLA (polylactic acid), a bioplastic derived from renewable resources like cornstarch. It’s lightweight, strong, and safe for indoor lighting applications.
Each tile lamp is made by hand using individually selected reused glass or ceramic tiles, carefully grouted to a 3D-printed PLA base. We use only UL-certified electrical components for safety and quality.
Use a dry or lightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, abrasive cloths, or soaking any part of the lamp. Make sure the lamp is off and disconnected from power before cleaning.
Each limited lamp collection is of a limited quantity once a collection has finished it is possible that it does not return. However, we will always listen. If you missed one of our collections and would like to see it again please reach out to us directly.
We are always open to new creative ideas! Contact us if you would like to discuss a custom lamp or special project
Not with proper use. When used with a 10W or lower LED bulb, the lamp stays cool to the touch. We do not recommend using incandescent or halogen bulbs.

We use UL-listed components for all wiring, plugs, and switches. While the complete lamp is not UL-certified as a whole unit, we build each one with safety and quality in mind.
Short answer is yes, when used with an appropriate LED bulb and in a safe location. Your lamp is designed to run cool. That being said, always follow safe lighting practices and avoid leaving any electrical product unattended for extended periods.
